When I was 13 in April of 2002, my dad bought me a Jersey Speed Skiff.  He's a sailor but needed something to do instead of swatting flies when there was no wind.  This was a replacement for my 12' Jet boat which I outgrew after 5 years.  We decided to upgrade to a skiff.  After listening to a good friend of ours ("Bones") for many years and his stories about his younger days when he had his skiff, he told us of a skiff for sale locally.  We jumped on the deal and we were HOOKED.  With no previous experience with skiff's we know its a bender style deck but we don't know who made it.  If anyone knows who made it please email us.  It is a flywheel forward, velvet drive trans with hydraulic trim tabs.  After looking at every skiff at the races of the past year (APBA and Jersey Outlaws) still can't tell who the make is.  It has thin stringer's and hull and deck are very thin as well.  We had a great first year!
