Years Raced 1980- 1988
  1982 - APBA 1-2/3 MILE Competition Record holder. 68.632 mph. 
set Feb 7, 1982 @ St. Petersburg, FL.  Driven by Dave Paraskevas. Rider 
Roger Harris.
Built in 1980 for Bill Tetro, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 
Flyin High Race team campaigned the boat for a little more than 2 seasons during which  they set a new competition record, establishing JS-78 as the boat to beat & won the majority of the races they entered.
1983 - John Bryan, St. Petersburg, Fl. raced as JS-78 Design Developers Special
1988 - Don Abel, no name, JS-78 kept as a river skiff for 10 
years. Don replaced the original 283 with a 350.
1998 - Dan Dobbins, Rochester, NY, renamed Gracie, participated in APBA
Vintage & Historic events and ACBS events.
2004 - Bill DeGlopper, Grand Island, NY,  restored & registered 
in APBA Vintage & Historic, ran in APBA & ACBS events : Detroit, MI Gold Cup, Clayton, NY Race boat regatta, Buffalo Launch Club Race boat 
Reunion, Lake George Race boat regatta, Wolfeboro New Hampshire Race boat regatta. The JS-78 received a motor transplant for 2005. Mike Endres,
retired World Champion built a brand new Chevrolet 350 and we
installed it in time for the Detroit Gold Cup event. Also, the red metal flake stern has returned as when built.
