Temperatures had dropped, but it did not keep the southern Jersey Skiffs at the dock.  WO JO (Bill Oakley), Jo Carol II (Doug Apy) and Sir Alter Ego (Skip Gillam) joined Curt and Keith Breyer for a cruise on the North and South Forks of the St. Lucie Waterway.

We stopped for lunch at Wahoo's and then continued on our cruise.  Photos were taken by Paul and Timmy Mezyk.

Timmy took Kermit's picture after Kermit jumped aboard WO JO.  Maybe WO JO was in the lily pads?

The Sunnyland Chapter of the Antique Classic Boat Society went for a two day cruise. Yes it was one of those cold days in Florida. We started out at all of 50 degrees. As the day went on the temperature got all the way up to 70 degrees.
Three skiffs attended, Skip Gilliam, Dough Apy and Bill Oakley. Eight other boats of the antique group also attended. We put in the water at 9:30 and left the docks at 10:00. First we cruised down the St. Lucie river to the south fork of the Okeechobee Waterway. The is a beautiful place in the river, with many nice homes over looking the waterway. From there we went out to the locks that lead across the Florida Cannel System. At that point we turned around and headed back.
We had a good lunch and some liquid refreshments. After lunch we returned north and retraced our journey. In the afternoon we headed north past the boat ramp. This was one of those nice rides 25 to 30 MPH up a winding river. There were a few  spots where we needed to slow. Most of the 5 miles was a great run.
Returned to the ramp, hauled the boats and of coarse talked about the day. A good time was had by all.
